FAQ

The five questions buyers hit right before they upgrade

US billing, what each tier actually includes, what happens on cancellation, where your brand data lives, and how the first-30-day refund policy reads in plain English. Same answers the support thread would give — no extras.

  1. Question 1 of 5
Why is BriefAI only available in the United States?

Today, BriefAI only works with a US-issued card or a US shipping address at checkout. The hosted checkout is set up to sell only within Stripe’sshippingCountries: [‘US’] parameter, so Stripe itself rejects the payment the moment a non-US shipping address is entered — BriefAI never sees the charge.

What “US” means in practice: a US-issued card, ora US shipping address that matched what was entered at checkout. Non-US visitors land on the “not in your region” panel inside the pricing page, and there’s a quiet link from that panel to this FAQ so the answer is right where the friction is. International roll-out is on the roadmap — no date yet, but it’s the next thing on the list.

The small hint on the pricing page that nudges non-US visitors is a best-effort presentation aid only — it picks the highest-weighted country from the browser’s accept-language header. It misclassifies expats and anyone behind a VPN about 10% of the time. It does not determine who can actually pay; Stripe does.

  2. Question 2 of 5
What does each plan (Free, Brief, Pro) actually include?

Three plans. The price, the monthly brief cap, and which features unlock at each step are all set in one place (the TIER_METADATA contract) — so the list below will not drift from what the pricing page and the upgrade modal show.

Free — $0/month.Three briefs a month, just to feel out the workflow. Exports carry a small “Generated on BriefAI — upgrade to remove” watermark. No saved libraries, no plain-text export.

Brief — $29/month. Thirty briefs a month. Plain-text export, no watermark. Still no saved libraries.

Pro — $79/month. Two hundred briefs a month. Plain-text export, no watermark, saved libraries you can reopen, shareable export links, and one virtual-assistant seat you can invite by email and revoke at any time.

  3. Question 3 of 5
How do I cancel, and what happens to my active briefs?

Cancel from inside your dashboard. The button opens the Stripe billing portal (powered by /api/billing/portal), and the cancellation itself takes one click.

Once cancelled, the subscription stays live through the end of the billing cycle. The briefs you’ve already generated stay viewable. Regenerating new briefs, saving updates to your libraries, and VA-seat access pause at the cycle boundary — the account then settles to whatever the Free tier mirrors for that surface.

  4. Question 4 of 5
What happens to my brand data?

The only thing BriefAI stores on your behalf is the one-sentence product description you typed at generator time, plus the brief itself (hooks, script outline, CTA, objection handler). There’s nothing else to store: no brand-guide uploads, no asset libraries, no scraped URLs — those don’t exist as features.

That same one-sentence description is what’s sent to the model each time you regenerate, and the brief is regenerated end-to-end on each request. A new generation is a fresh draft — a re-run is never an edit on top of the last one.

Every brief is persisted so you can reopen it, but only your account can read your briefs. The query that lists them is scoped by where: { userId: user.id } — no other session can see them. The brand description stays inside the briefs themselves; it isn’t combined with any data from other users or used to train anything outside your own regenerations.

  5. Question 5 of 5
What is the refund policy in the first 7, 14, or 30 days?

All refunds go through briefai-egqtjq@polsia.app — one email, no support ticket, no flow to click through. Describe what happened and the date of the charge; we reply within one business day.

Days 1–7. Full refund, no questions asked.

Days 8–14.Full refund after a one-line explanation — what was missing or off, in a sentence.

Days 15–30. Prorated refund, only if a failed-payment session left an open charge on your card. If nothing failed, the subscription runs to the end of the cycle and no further charge is taken.

After day 30. No refund, but access continues through the end of the billing cycle and no further charges happen.
